Classes & Workshops
Coming 2021, acting, musical theater, and writing workshops will be offered for participants between 8 and 18 years of age. No previous experience is necessary. Workshops and classes will be planned around age groups, and can include: singing, acting, writing, monologues, scenes, or songs. Pricing will be determined early next year.
All classes and workshops will be led by Lauren Berman, the Founder and Executive Director of 4 Chairs Theatre. As a former theatre teacher/director at Chicagoland high schools and Resident Director of Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Lauren has coached and worked with actors across all age groups for the past 30 years. Her former students have won The Jimmy Awards, Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards, National Playwriting Awards, been cast in community and professional theatre, and secured admission to top collegiate theatre programs.
